Yea you HEARD…I mean “read” it right. This is my mashup of ramen and ddukbbokki (spicy rice cakes). Possibly the best thing to eat when you want something spicy and delicious.

Labbokki

Ingredients:
1 C Rice Ovelettes or plain white dduk or sticky rice cake
1 packet of Shin Ramen
1/2 C Kimchi, cut
1 C Korean Marinated Beef or Pork (Bul-go-gi)
2 C + 1/2 C water
1/2 C Tempura or Fish Cake, sliced
2 TBSP Soy Sauce
1/4 tsp Pepper
2-3 TBSP Korean Red Pepper Paste or Gochujang (depending on how spicy you want it)
1 TBSP Sugar


Throw Marinated meat and Rice cakes into a large pan and cook over med-high heat until cooked through.


In a separate small pot, boil ramen noodles in 2 C Water until almost cooked through. Drain.


Add everything, including the shin ramen soup base, but the drained noodles into the large pan and cook until the rice cakes are nice and toasty and chewy. Add ramen last and cook 5 minutes until everything is bubbly and hot.


Enjoy with a nice big bowl of rice or with some soju or beer. yummmmmmm~
